About Stourbridge Climate Action

Stourbridge Climate Action was created on 1 September 2026 by four friends concerned about the lack of action by public authorities to address climate change and prepare for the risks it brings to our borough.

We want to see practical steps to reduce emissions and help our communities prepare for fires, flooding, very hot weather and other climate-related risks. We ask those responsible to explain what they are doing, work together and act with urgency.

We have chosen to keep our group small so that we can focus on taking actions rather than spending our time in meetings.

Stourbridge Climate Action is non-party-political. We do not campaign for parties or candidates, and elections are not our focus. We engage with Cat Eccles MP, local councillors and other decision-makers, regardless of political affiliation, to press for action on climate change and adaptation.

One of our priorities is to give residents practical ways to take action and make their voices heard by their MP and local councillors. We also work with community groups and other organisations when we share practical goals.

Our aim is simple: to help Stourbridge and the wider borough address climate change and prepare for its effects.
